Group of three - Distinguished Conduct Medal Geo V & pair to 13107 Sjt. R. Bousted, 35th Machine Gun Corp. 'for Conspicuous Gallantry & Devotion to Duty near Wervico' on the 30th Sept 1918. He went forward with his officer under heavy machine gun fire, the officer became a casualty. He then took command of the section of four guns against the enemies machine guns allowing the infantry to advance. He inflicted many casualties & inspired his men. He was from Charleton. Polished but GF.
