D.S. & STRAITS 8c+10c PAIR; 29 Apr. 1889 piece with Sarawak 1888 6c Lilac tied by part fine boxed "SARAWAK POST OFFICE/REGISTERED LETTER" d.s. beside Straits Settlements 8c Orange + 10c Slate Pair (some scuffing) tied by fair to v. fine "SINGAPORE" cds's. Addressed to "F.G. Bamphylde" (probably in GB) and so believed to have been sent from the Sibu British Resident, C.A. Bamphylde. Rare correct Registered rate franking.
