A group of five George III period Irish portrait miniatures on ivory, to include: The Countess of Mount Alexander, née St Lawrence of Howth, died august 1771 at Donaghadee; Montgomery, Earl of Mount Alexander (husband of Countess MA); Mrs. Montgomery née Moore, painted circa 1770; Mrs. Montgomery née Maxwell, painted circa 1720-30, and another of a lady painted circa 1780, each mounted in a glazed white metal roundel frame, displayed within a mahogany frame, each approx 4.8 cm high x 3.8 cm wide

Provenance: Purchased from the contents of Beaulieu House at auction in 1962

Note: the miniatures have all been dated by known miniature portrait expert Mr. Richard Allen, in 1986.
