FORDS BALSAM OF HOREHOUND LONDON PONTIL EMBOSSED MEDICINE. 5.1ins tall. Lovely bluey aqua glass. c.1830-40. Tall elegant tapering body with inverted corners, short neck, fine, undamaged, flared lip. Cross hinge mould, smoothed pontil. Some internal haze - to clean or leave? Embossed in serif letters to four panels. A particularly fine example.
