Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas now with a slight inward sag, paint and varnish rather dirty, with fine but stable craquelure running through much of the paint, paint looks a little flattened in the clouds and sky to the left where there looks to have been some retouching. Further signs of retouching along the bottom margin, housed in an old overpainted gilt gesso frame, hand inscribed paper label verso.
