Roger Chapelet (French, 1903-1995), 'Patriarch'. oil on canvas, signed and titled lower right, gilt foliate hollow frame. 23½ x 35¾in. (59.7 x 90.8cm.). Some surface dirt and yellowing to varnish - would benefit from a clean. A few tiny paint flakes/nicks to surface at top centre. Tiny paint flaw top right corner (original, from when painted). No other faults. Minor losses to frame edges.
