U.S.A.: Tiffin and Fort Wayne Rail Road Company, First Lien bond, $1000, 185[7], #536, steam train in centre, black, red underprint, green seal, with coupons. Incorporated in Ohio in 1853 to operate a 102-mile long line from Tiffin, Ohio to Fort Wayne, Indiana. Succeeded by the American Central Railway Company in 1859 and eventually part of the New York, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad Company system. Repaired split on reverse otherwise VF.
