A Victorian ebonised chiming bracket clock the eight-day duration, triple-fusee movement having an anchor escapement and chiming the quarters on a nest of eight bells and the hour on a gong, with a fully engraved backplate, the eight-inch break-arch brass dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with Roman numerals, the arch with two subsidiary dials showing Chime at St Marys/Cambridge/Chime on Eight Bells, and Chime/Silent, the ebonised break-arch case with brass fluted columns, finials, side frets, side handles and standing on bracket feet, height 47cm.
