£520
Interesting late 18th/early 19th century violin in need of restoration, unlabelled, the two piece back of faint medium curl with similar wood to the sides, the head of plainish wood, the table of a fine width grain and the varnish of a dark reddish-brown colour on a golden ground, 13 7/8", 35.20cm
This violin is generally in a poor state of preservation and the condition can clearly be seen in the images. Although there are no sound post cracks, there are numerous other cracks in the table and some edging missing, the back is slightly opening on the join and there has been a poor repair under the button where the neck has come away from the body, see images for guidance, personal viewing advised.
