Good rare oval unmarked silver example with raised ornate border and suspension loop. Obverse incised with crowned Maid of Erin Harp and shamrocks with LIMERICK CO VOLUNTEERS 1804 in surround. Reverse incised with coroneted cypher of Lord Louth on scroll REWARD OF MERIT, in surround PRESENTED BY MAJOR LORD LOUTH WON BY R SOMMERS. VGC Unit raised in 1778.
