A Martini Henry two banded carbine .450, 48.5cm barrel, adjustable sight, the butt mounted with a disc stamped 1894 V.1.DTA 101 for issue to the Dorset Regiment Artillery Volunteers, working mechanism, with an identification book by Ian Skennerton. (2)
Good , small crack noted near mechanism. Barrel has possibly been shortened as there is a mark where the sight would have previously been.Barrel is rifled , not deactivated. Obsolete calibre and ammunition and exempt as checked externally.
