An early 20th oak map chest, the rectangular moulded top above fifteen drawers applied with angular brass swing handles and brass card holders, raised upon a plinth base, 94cm H x 87cm W x 52cm D (drawers tight/stuck, at fault)
Internal drawer dimensions: 75cm W x 45.5cm D x 3.8cm H, apart from 7th drawer down which is 2.5cm H to allow for a structural stretcher. Each drawer appears to have an internal divider approximately 13cm from left hand edge, but some drawers are still stuck closed (several have unseized since the piece has been with us). Some drawer fronts show splits to the edges. The top shows an open joint and staining. The piece is somewhat sunned.
