Papers relating to the Campbell family, Earls of Breadalbane.
The following documents were the property of an enthusiastic and erudite Edinburgh collector who put considerable effort into researching their historical background and whose typewritten translations accompany each item along with reference numbers for related material held in the National Records of Scotland.
Their condition is commensurate with their age so staining and occasional chipping are evident such that viewers are recommended to avail themselves of the typed versions to avoid any deterioration in these fragile survivors.
