Uniform 4d Post. 1839 (Dec 9) Entire letter from Dublin to the Royal Hospital Chelsea with Dublin "4" charge mark, crossed out upon arrival in London and replaced by a red Free datestamp, with "T.P / Rate 2d". The writer asks for another copy of his discharge and pension documents which were burnt with his clothes after he caught cholera. Light file folds, otherwise fine, rare and unusual.
