A 19th Century Chinese skirt, late Qing Dynasty, in orange silk (mamianqun), two panels of elaborately embroidered images of a deer amongst flowers with vibrant coloured silk threads bordered with gold metallic swirls, 10 embroidered gore panels to each side with embroidered images of flowers and metallic gold snakes, the skirt being hand sewn with an original deep waistband 9cm, with ties and loops, having a blue silk lining.
Condition: Vibrant embroidery, fading to the orange and blue silk, some damage and staining to main skirt, hem and lining -see photos
