A 19th century Indian sandalwood and Vizagapatam domed rectangular stationery box, hinged cover enclosing an arrangement of compartments, 21.5cm wide, c.1850 Provenance: a manuscript collector's note refer's to the Pelling Place writing paper box, in reference to Pelling Place, Berkshire, home of the Bonnell family. The box also contains a piece of headed paper engraved with a vignette of the house and embossed with the monogram of a member of the family.
