Life Guards Attributed Officers Frock Coat A good scarce example of dark blue melton cloth. Six double rows of black worsted lace to either side of the chest, with pointed ends and sewn to allow the front to hang loose. Each of the rows are sewn with pair olivettes in the vertical position. The epaulettes are edged with black lace,with single rank star. The stand up collar is with black lace and tracing braid. The back is again decorated with lace and tassels. Black cloth lining to interior, this with a tailors label of Rogers & Company London W1 with ink name J.C. Cookson. Remains in good clean condition, with some service wear. Attributed to Second Lieutenant J.C. Cookson commissioned into the Life Guards 1926
