A pair of 19th century hand gilded and decorated continental porcelain candlesticks of figural form: the male in tricorn hat and with elaborate gilded pink jacket and pink striped trousers, each with candle-snuffer modelled in relief as flowers (32 cm high).
* Condition: Male figure: The top section of the candle holder above the male figure's hand has been broken and has old restoration with overpainting, which has discoloured with age. Female figure: Has been broken off at the waist & through the right hand, and has a glued repair - minor losses from porcelain along the back of this break. Minor losses to the leaves on both of the snuffers.
