A LATE 18TH CENTURY CHINESE EXPORT BLUE AND WHITE CHESTNUT BASKET of oval outline with later white metal rim and wire twist handles, blue painted diapher cell and pendant border to the rim, the body with opposing heart and laurel leaf ribbon tied cartouche, with similar stand, the centre painted with monogram within a shield shape cartouche, 26cm over handles x 10cm high, the stand 27cm x 24cm
Stand - small spot of graze to the glaze on the rim.
Two or three small faults in the blue border when fired
Pin prick of glaze loss to centre from a bubble.
Some rubbing to glaze in centre of the basket.
A degree of wear to the gilt and iron red of the cartouche.
Basket - metal mount replacing original handles.
Some flaking of blue to border around foot
Three cracks through pierced strands, at least one may be a firing crack
