A George III mahogany eight day longcase clock, A Butler Northwich, the 14" brass dial with engraved centre, three winding squares, subsidiary seconds ring and pierced hands, including date pointer, silvered chapter ring and rococo spandrels, the arch painted with a pastoral landscape and lunar work with indicator, in flame figured case, the swan neck, pagoda pediment inset with blue and gilt glass panels, the break arched door flanked by fluted pillars, conforming trunk with finely figured door and panelled base, ogee feet, pendulum and three lead weights, 255cm h excluding finial

A well made George III clock in good condition with some small repairs, originally with applied fretwork to top of case now lacking. The clock is working but not striking – it just makes a click when the minutes hand passes each quarter
