Railway. L.M.S. post grouping. A rare collection of approx. 39 x 2" square format, black and white negatives, housed in a paper book. The negatives all date from 1948/9 and were taken by published photographer R.J. Maxwell. There are some gaps in the collection, sadly we do not have these to sell. The majority of the locos are ex L.M.S. still with applied lettering on the tenders. There is 1 VERY RARE shot of an early LMS railcar, 29951, built 1933, only 3 were built and all were withdrawn in 1951. There are some captions and notes alongside most of the negatives, including loco number, date and location. Most of the locations are in the North West and Scotland: Lostock, London Road, Motherwell etc. Copyright will pass to the buyer. Sample illustrated.
