With a 78cm sabre type curved, pointed and fullered blade with sharpened edge, date stamped for August 1915, further stamped with Enfield inspection marks, with a nickel plated three bar guard and quillon, oval pommel with rounded steel nut, the grip bound in fish skin with wire bindings, three horizontal saw marks to the back strap. With a heavy duty brown leather scabbard with brass mounts with similar Enfield inspection marks and oval frog button. 93cm overall.
