A RARE DERBY TROMPE L'OEIL 'PLAYING CARDS' CUP AND SAUCER, CIRCA 1815

boldly painted with a deck of cards scattered on a black enamel ground, the centre with a duty card with the name HUNT, crown, crossed batons and D mark in red. (2) Saucer 13cm diameter



The cup has a hairline crack. The usual age-related wear to the gilding. No chips or restoration.
