Star Lot: William Henry Burns (Irish, b.1924 - d.1995) An original fabulous William Henry Burns (Irish, b.1924 - d.1995) watercolour on paper painting. Rendered in fast and dynamic brushstrokes capturing the ever-changing elements of the Irish landscape. The fluidity of his brushwork in watercolours conveys a sense of immediacy and movement. Portrays soft muted tones of blues, browns and yellows. Signed lower right. Housed in a gilt frame behind glass.

W H Burns is a well known artist with works fetching into the high hundreds at Ross's and Whyte's.
A Belfast born artist, Burns received no formal art training. He painted regularly along the Lagan and in Connemara, Antrim and Donegal. During his career Burns had three solo exhibitions in the gallery formerly run by E. Walker & Co., Coleraine, and is represented in the UTV Art Collection.
