I was going to say there is no play on the blade - there isn't except once when I had all the attachments open it had a little movement but I now can't replicate that despite repeatedly opening and closing it! Blade and attachments close with a spring. Manufacturer's name obscured by wear but appears to say 'Billiter St' on one side and 'Sheffield Made' on the other. Inset plate to scales reads 'R G Lindsay 1915'
