1793-1814 MGSM 6 clasps Corunna, Barrosa, Vittoria, Pyrenees, Orthes, Toulouse and 1815 Waterloo Medal to George Robins 28th Foot (28th Regiment Foot on Waterloo) MGSM with minor contact marks good very fine, Waterloo heavy contact marks thus fine, ribbon with button hole towards the top with tunic button for suspension.
With copied service papers, death certificate, museum letter and musters, he was born in Fermoy Co Cork, joined Army Reserve 14/8/03, posted 28th Foot 10/1/04, was wounded slightly in the left hand at Vittoria and severely wounded in the left side at Waterloo, discharged 23/10/24 and admitted as a Chelsea out pensioner, died in Sheffield 3/12/59. This pair once resided in the Gloucester Regimental Museum but were exchanged in 1985 with copy of regimental letter confirming the exchange. Ex Baldwins 1953. (See photo) (R)
