A 19th century oak and mahogany crossbanded brass faced North Country 8-day moonphase action longcase grandfather clock by William Kirk, Stockport. The clock having a silvered arched dial with hand painted moon phase over a foliate border to the centre plate. Silvered clock face with roman numerals to the chapter ring with seconds subsidiary. Signed William Kirk, Stockport to face. S scrolled marquetry inlaid hood with glazed door. Shaped central door to body with reeded columns to sides. Measures approx. 235cm x 50cm x 25cm.
