A JAPANESE LACQUER PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM, EARLY 20TH CENTURY. Leather spine with black lacquered covers inlaid and painted depicting peony sprays and butterflies. The interior with nine silk lined pages painted with various landscape and floral scenes with shaped sections each side for photographs. 36cm x 27cm. purchased in Japan between 1900 - 1914.
Wear to the leather spine with loose sections to the edges. Wear to edges of lacquer covers. The interior pages in good condition.
