An original album passed through family from the vendor’s grandparent containing approximately 225 standard size postcards, which are mainly in good condition. There are some topographical cards, including printed examples from Troon, Bath and six patriotic of Portland – but most are subject cards, with some children’s interest, glamour (a number published by Alpha), greetings and flowers, a few royalty real photographic PCs, and a few art cards by AR Quinton. There are some Tuck oilettes (Landseer Pictures) and others. There are some nice cat and dog cards, some signed by Maud West Watson (we noted three) six by Persis Kirmse published by Celesque. There are also some season’s greetings panel cards – one with a Portsmouth postmark showing it was sent on Christmas Day 1914 for same day delivery (see last photo).
