A PAIR OF BAROQUE STYLE WALNUT AND EMBOSSED LEATHER SIDE CHAIRS ITALIAN, INCORPORATING SOME 17TH OR 18TH CENTURY ELEMENTSEach with a shaped back and padded seat on turned and square-section supports, the backs marked 'OXO' each 116cm high, 51cm wide, 55cm deep
Fair condition with dents marks and scratches and shrinkage cracks due to age and use. As noted the chairs incorporate some 17th or 18th C parts but are probably reconstructed with `new' elements in the late 19th or early 20th century. One chair with spliced repairs/join to the back. Leather in fair condition, undamaged but patched around the uprights.
