An Art Deco Shelley Queen Anne part tea service, circa 1930, decorated in the "Archway of Roses" pattern against a cobalt blue ground, comprising: twelve teacups, twelve saucers, twelve side plates, two twin handled sandwich plates, a milk jug and a sugar bowl, each piece with printed mark and painted "11627" to base (40) (at fault)
All cups show staining to the interior, and six show stained hairline cracks around the interior base. Of these six, to also show stained hairline cracks rising from the base, one 4cm long, the other 1.5cm long. The milk jug also shows staining to the interior. The sugar bowl shows small glazing faults to the interior. All pieces show fine surface wear and minor rubbing to the gilt highlights.
