Good overall appearance.
There are some lifting and missing lacquer in places, most noticeable is the rear base of the cabinet with almost total loss to the black lacquer; some sections have been placed by the family in a drawer.
Left side door is missing porcelain panel ad has a Chinese silk fabric panel. One gilt bronze 'bat' handle is detached, but again in a drawer.
Old marks and scratches consistent with age and use.
The cabinet is in two parts, top and stand. We have not seen/located a makers mark or logo on the piece.
This piece was purchased at House & Sons Auction in 1974 for £3400.
