A CARICATURE AND MEMORIAL TO CAPTAIN BERNARD WOODHOUSE OF THE ROYAL ARMY MEDICAL CORPS. A First World War memorial scroll to Capt. Bernard Woodhouse, Royal Army Medical Corps. Mounted alongside a photograph of Capt Woodhouse in uniform and Buckingham Palace letter. 38 x 56cm. With a caricature of the officer in uniform signed 'Vall', framed and glazed, 46 x 29.5cm. Captain Bernard Woodhouse served with the Royal Army Medical Corps, attached to the 10th Battalion of the Welsh Regiment. The son of Lister and Mary Emily Woodhouse of 3, Berkely Place, Wimbelodon, he died on the 5th September 1917 and is buried at Mendingham Military Cemetery in West Vlaanderen, his headstone simply states 'Beloved', he was 28 years old *Condition: Light spotting and marks to surfaces, generally good, not examined out of frames.
