Interesting violoncello by and labelled Made by George Eggleston, Lake Lock, 1831, the two piece back of plainish wood with similar wood to the sides and head, the table of a medium width grain and the varnish of a light reddish-brown colour on a golden ground, 29 1/4", 74.30cm
The general condition of this cello is a little poor with a sound post and other cracks on the table clearly visible in the images, there are further scratches and minor repairs on the back, with ink purfling. See further images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible.
