A wonderful section of a fossil wood branch (possibly Gingko) with one surface highly polished, in excellent and complete condition with bark. From Late Triassic (appr. 225 million years old) found in the Navajo & Apache counties of NE Arizona, U.S.A. Dimensions: 93 x 74 x 67 mm, weight: 674 g.
NB: This specimen was collected in early 60s before fossil collection became illegal in the Arizona National Park and it has been in a private collection in North London since then to the present day
