EIGHTEENTH CENTURY FIGURED AND FEATHER CROSSBANDED WALNUT ESCRITOIRE, the moulded cornice above a cushion moulded drawer and fall front, the interior fitted with pigeon holes, the top three pulling out to reveal secret drawers behind, and short drawers, enclosing a central cupboard door with three drawers to the interior, set above a lower section with two short and three long drawers, each fitted with a brass swan neck handles with fret cut back plates, and raised on bun feet, 66” (167.6cm) high, 41” x 19 ½” (104.1cm x 49.5cm), later handles
Bureau a abattant. 

Usual shrinkage separation to the glue lines, some lifting to the inter-drawer beading to the fitted interior. 

Some losses to wood by the right hand fall hinge, replacement brassware throughout (originally with knob handles), plus some evidence  of former woodworm now filled with wax.
