TWO CHINESE SILK EMBROIDERED HANGINGS, 19/20TH CENTURY. To include a large red ground hanging of rectangular form, embroidered in coloured silks with birds and pheasants perched amongst flowering and fruiting branches, within a ribbon and pale blue silk border, on cotton backing for hanging, Qing dynasty, 198cm x 48.5cm; Together with a later panel depicting one hundred boys scene on a gold ground, 96cm x 52cm. Some tearing to blue silk border and small tears to the red silk, a large section of the branch on the central panel is outlined in pencil but lacking any thread, some small losses and pulling of threads, small patches of discoloured staining to red silk ground. The other in good overall condition.
