1753-65 Entire letters from Antigua to Charles Tudway in Wells, eleven endorsed via named ship's captains, a few also naming the ship including "ye Anne Gally, Capt. Smith", "His Majestys Ship Modeste, Capt. Holawell" and "ye George, Capt. McMirr", fourteen with London Bishop Marks, one other letter hand carried to Wells but then redirected by post to Wedhampton near Devizes with "WELLS" handstamp, most charged 8d, other charged 9d, 10d or 1/3. A useful lot with some interesting content on estate matters. (15).
