A SET OF EIGHT (6+2) REGENCY ROSEWOOD DINING CHAIRS, early 19th century, the scroll back uprights enclosing a curved top rail inlaid in brass over a reeded horizontal splat, drop in seat in a gros point floral covering (four with black leatherette covering), on sabre legs, 18 1/4" x 16" x 32 1/2" (Illustrated) (Est. plus 24% premium inc. Two single chairs have leatherette covering which is showing signs of wear, all needlework covering good. One scrolled finial of upright to four single & one elbow chair reattached, and both to one single chair. Joints generally tight bar one upright to single chair, front leg/seat rail joint to one elbow chair reattached but with a small gap. Colour generally good bar some scuffing to base of legs, possibly repolished at one time with quite a high finish. All brass inlay good.
