An unusual and large Victorian mahogany library book grabber or aid, trigger mechanism, sprung claws, 151cm long, c. 1870
Though working the mechanism near the grab could do with some minor readjustment. The sprung claws working well. The metal itself with verdigris. The pierced mahogany spear with some stable splits and losses on the groove in places. Anticipated wear and scratching.
