A late 19c large Austrian Vienna regulator in rosewood veneered case with brass inlay decoration. The glazed front door has turned columns flanking it and above it is a semi circular cresting with brass inlay. The base of the case is pointed and also has brass inlay. The weight driven movement has a white painted dial 22cm diam. which has seconds and date indicators in Roman numerals. The movement has deadbeat escapement and is rack striking on a gong. The long grid iron pendulum beats seconds. The clock 160 h overall.
case has lost some brass inlay both on base and columns and needs repolishing. Movement seems complete but needs cleaning. Weights dented. Dial has been inexpertly refigured.
