A Belgian 6 shot 12mm Lefaucheux gold overlaid closed frame double action pinfire revolver, c 1865, round barrel 140mm (5½”), with raised top rib numbered 4512 on left side, the breech marked “E LEFAUCHEUX INVR. BREVETE” and gold overlaid on the top rib “E. PARIS CALLE RIVADAVIA BUENOS-AYRES”; Liege proved, the barrel, cylinder and frame overlaid with gold vine leaves and silver tendrils and lines; with ejector rod on the right, plain ivory grips, and lanyard ring. Good Working Order and Condition, retaining traces of original blued finish overall. £350-400
