THREE JAPANESE ARITA BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN DISHES, EDO PERIOD, 18TH CENTURY. The first painted with figures seated before palms and mountainous landscape, another with waterplants within a scalloped rim and the third with prunus, fruit, trees and rockwork before two small boats, 20 cm. diam. max. (3)

Provenance: Property of a Sussex gentleman

Condition: The first with figures in mountainous landscape - with short hairline crack to rim, slight glaze chipping and fritting at rim. The example with waterplants - with small rim chip, short firing crack to centre. The third with two small boats and rockwork etc with patch of sanded misfiring to underside.
