A brass barrelled flintlock blunderbuss by J Probin c 1800, 30” overall, 2 stage bell mouth barrel 14½” with Birmingham private proofs, octagonal breech having engraved bands; plain flat stepped lock signed in script; walnut fullstock with chequered wrist and engraved brass mounts including floral engraved trigger guard with elaborate pineapple finial, flat engraved sideplate, and with horn tipped ramrod.
