A LATE 19TH/ EARLY 20TH CENTURY FRENCH SILVERGILT SNUFF BOX. of oval form, the whole with engine-turned decoration and the cover inset with a miniature portrait of a lady, marked to the inside rim with a makers mark ("A, device, D"), in a lozenge-shaped punch, c.1900, together with a navette-shaped mother-of-pearl mounted box, initialled and unmarked, and a mother-of-pearl & silver overlay étui, with faceted sides and marked indistinctly to the inside rim; the snuff box 3" (7.7cm) long (3).
All with wear, the snuff box OK just minor wear, the navette box with minor knocks, main issue is on the étui (implement missing & some overlay missing).
