5342 - Pure wool hand knotted authentic Persian Kashan rug with medallion design. This very large rug is 11ft 4" x 8ft 3" in dimension and has been hand woven to approximately 350000-450000 knots per m2. Kashan is one of the oldest cities in Iran. Kashan rugs have been hand woven here since the 17th Century, during the Safavid dynasty. The rugs are among the most famous of all Persian rugs and are what most people think of when they hear the term Persian rug.
