A RARE ROYAL ARTILLERY OFFICER'S SPADROON.
With an 80cm straight, undecorated and fullered blade with pointed tip, with an oval brass guard with leaf border and similarly decorated double quillon, with a wire wound grip and urn shaped pommel engraved with a stylised artillery piece, with a leather scabbard with two brass mounts, 103cm overall. Presumably this is a pre 1796 pattern sword prior to the Infantry Pattern sword of this date.
