A good WWII Japanese officer's sword, katana, blade 27" with billowing yakiba, the tang with left slanting file marks, single mekugi ana, and signed on both sides (see illustration), with silver plated fluted habaki, the hilt and scabbard of conventional WWII pattern, the latter with olive green painted finish. GC, the blade clean with good polish (one deep dent to the back edge of the scabbard). £400-450
