A worksplate, HUNSLET ENGINE Co, 1404, 1920, from a 18ins gauge 0-4-0 well tank named GWEN new to John Knowles (Wooden Box) Ltd at Newfields Fireclay Mines, Woodville, Nr Coalville where it remained until loco haulage ceased in April 1958. The following September it was acquired for preservation in the USA and currently resides in working order at the Farmer Estate, Northridge, California. Cast brass, 11½"x8¼", the front lightly cleaned. (Postage Band: B)
