Malcolm Appleby: The Trafalgar Medal, irregular shape being the outline of Nelson in a bicorn hat, the obverse engraved with HMS Victory in full sale, the reverse with the Battle of Trafalgar 'Together in Mortal Combat', hallmarked, signed Malcolm Appleby and marked SCM to the lower edge for Sim Comfort Associates who commissioned the medal for the Trafalgar bicentennial. In Sim Comfort Associates box of issue, number 51 from an edition of 500. With a copy of the article discussing the commissioning of the medal in The Medal, No.49, 2006 pp59-67.
